I’d been associated with Miniatures for quite some time, when one night I woke up
with an idea -
I thought... “I’d really like to produce knife, fork and spoon charms as a small business... “
I approached a jeweller friend, showed him a full size setting and
said “...make these in 1/12th scale for me, please...” He agreed but
also suggested that we might make them as miniature silver cutlery
as well. That knife, fork and spoon was the start...
My first website showed just these items. Then I received an order
for a full cutlery set and a request for details of any other designs
we had.
Other designs?? I hadn’t thought too much further than the basic
cutlery but after much head-scratching I thought that table
accessories and more cutlery might find a market - my only difficulty
was finding someone to make the original models in 1/12th scale for me.
The outcome is the range now pictured on these pages.
These pieces are all made by the “lost wax” technique - the jeweller
casts them, then cleans and hand polishes each piece individually.
Made by a recognised jeweller, from 925 non-tarnishable silver, these
items will greatly enhance your dolls house miniature table settings.
